John J. Ricci
John Ricci is General Counsel of Conlon & Co—A Real Estate Merchant Bank and its affiliated companies: Conlon Capital, Conlon Asset Management, and Conlon Commercial. He is responsible for all of the companies’ legal functions and strategic business development initiatives worldwide, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate acquisition and development, corporate ventures, merchant banking, intellectual property, entertainment, and litigation. He is a core, executive-level member that brings a balance of creativity and real-world experience to every deal. His deal-making leadership and skills help shape and close smart transactions efficiently and with high integrity.
Mr. Ricci attended law school at DePaul and Northwestern Universities in Chicago. He began his legal career as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Blanche M. Manning in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. After his Federal Clerkship, he was associated with McGuireWoods LLP as corporate litigation counsel. After his tenure, Mr. Ricci went into private practice in New York and Illinois developing complex corporate strategies, managing transactions, and controlling litigation nationally.
Mr. Ricci has successfully completed matters or transactions involving the likes of Compass, IBM, Under Armour, Boston Consulting Group, Luxottica, Mount Sinai Health System, Pepsi, FUBU, et al.
As an entrepreneur, Mr. Ricci has owned, developed, or advised numerous individuals and companies at multiple levels including tech, real estate, healthcare, commodities, entertainment (film/television/theatre/fashion/art), M&A advisory, et al.
Mr. Ricci is licensed to practice law in New York and Illinois.
