CONLON Bringing Pizza/Craft Beer Concept to River North

Press Release

Real Estate investor Sean Conlon has found a tenant for a vacant River North building, less than two months after he paid $6 million for the property best known as the former home of trendy eatery SushiSamba Rio.

In a deal brokered by CONLON Commercial, Scottsdale, Arizona-based restaurant operator Evening Entertainment Group recently leased the 14,000-square-foot space at 504-512 N. Wells St., between Grand Avenue and Illinois Street.

Bottled Blonde is the name of the pizzeria/craft beer concept that Evening Entertainment Group plans to open there this summer. The one and only other Bottled Blonde, which opened last year, is located in Scottsdale’s Old Town Entertainment District and features contemporary Italian fare, wood-fired pizzas, artisanal salumi and an extensive craft beer selection.

The Chicago locale will follow that same blueprint and will remain open seven days a week and even serve brunch on the weekends. “We think it’s a great addition to the River North scene,” says Marcus Cook, Managing Director of CONLON Commercial.

Steve Horvath and Aldo Bottalla of CONLON Commercial represented Evening Entertainment Group and David Goldberg also of CONLON Commercial represented Mr. Conlon. Terms were not disclosed.

“It's a world-class location and space in River North,” Mr. Conlon told Crain’s Chicago Business, which reported on the Dec. 29 sale.

DNAInfo first reported news of the lease transaction.
