Mr. McGrath has extensive real estate investment, development and mortgage finance experience and was a founder of Aristone Realty Capital LLC and CastleGace Management LLC as vehicles through which to make opportunistic real estate loans and investments.
Prior to and during the time he helmed Aristone, Mr. McGrath established various real estate investment joint ventures with institutional capital partners such as Elliot Management Corp., Fortress Investment Group and Taurus Investment Holdings where he was responsible for sourcing and managing in excess of $500 million of principal real estate investments and development projects.
Until 2006, he was managing director at Guggenheim Capital Markets LLC where responsibilities included managing relationships with institutional investors, structuring and financing principal investments and developing client-driven advisory business. Prior to joining Guggenheim, he served as a Vice President in the Principal Transactions Group of the Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation, responsible for originating and managing over $2 billion in interim and warehouse financing programs.
From 1993-1995, he acted as a Vice President of whole loan finance at DLJ. Previously, he traded short term mortgage finance products at Lehman Brothers from 1990-1993. Mr. McGrath has extensive experience in creating legal, trading, operational and systems infrastructure for financing real estate related products, including utilizing sophisticated balance sheet and cash management techniques to manage capital usage, credit risk, interest rate risk and liquidity.
Mr. McGrath received a BA in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross in 1989
